New Government Projects Awarded in Hadhramaut Valley

The Sub-Committee for Tenders in Hadhramaut Valley and Desert convened in Seiyun, led by Assistant Governor for Valley and Desert Affairs, Engineer Hisham Al-Saidi. During this meeting, the committee referred submitted bids for several projects to the technical committee for necessary legal procedures.

Overview of Submitted Projects

The committee reviewed documents for five distinct projects, including four educational initiatives and a project to supply chemotherapy treatments for the oncology center in Seiyun. Representatives from the bidding entities and beneficiary organizations attended the meeting, where envelopes were opened and compliance with tender laws was verified.

Projects Referred to the Technical Committee

Additionally, the committee referred two projects—construction of the Century School and the second floor of Al-Bayan Girls School—to the technical committee for further scrutiny and review. These projects aim to enhance educational infrastructure in the region and address the classroom needs of local schools.

Awarding of the Government Complex Project

In a significant development, the Tender Committee awarded the government complex project in Al-Hura and Wadi Al-Ain district, with an estimated cost of 346 million riyals. The project was granted to the executing entity based on approved specifications, reflecting the government’s commitment to improving the administrative environment for local authorities and executive bodies.

Assistant Governor Al-Saidi emphasized the importance of technical scrutiny of the submitted bids to ensure they meet specifications. He highlighted that these projects are essential for addressing school needs and enhancing the administrative work environment in Al-Hura and Wadi Al-Ain district.
