### UN Expresses Deep Concern Over Civilian Casualties in Gaza
The United Nations has voiced serious concerns regarding the ongoing civilian casualties resulting from Israeli airstrikes and military operations in Gaza over the weekend. Among the victims, a child lost their life, and facilities within the Al-Aqsa Hospital complex in Deir al-Balah sustained damage due to one of the airstrikes.
UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric emphasized that protecting civilians and civilian infrastructure, including hospitals, constitutes a legal obligation that must not be violated. He stressed the importance of refraining from targeting these facilities or using them for military purposes.
### Humanitarian Warnings Ahead of Rainy Season
In terms of humanitarian efforts, Dujarric noted that the UN and its partners continue to prepare for the rainy season in Gaza. He warned that a lack of funding, restrictions on the entry of materials, and shortages of fuel, spare parts, and heavy machinery hinder efforts to mitigate flood risks.
### Escalating Violence in the West Bank
In the West Bank, UN teams reported ongoing violence linked to settlers, which included assaults, vandalism, arson, and theft. Approximately 12 Palestinians sustained injuries during three days of attacks around Ramallah. These incidents have disrupted the movement of residents and vehicles, including ambulances, exacerbating the humanitarian and security situation in the region.
The UN’s statements highlight the urgent need for international attention and action to address the escalating violence and humanitarian crises in both Gaza and the West Bank.
