Preparations for Hajj 1446: High Committee Discusses Key Strategies

The High Hajj Committee convened today, Saturday, in the temporary capital of Aden, under the leadership of Minister of Awqaf and Guidance, Dr. Mohammed Shabeeb. The meeting focused on the ongoing preparations for the Hajj season of 1446 AH and the logistics involved in transporting pilgrims.

Review of Sector Reports

During the meeting, attendees included Deputy Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Abdullah Dahan, along with the Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Awqaf for Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Mukhtar Al-Rabash, and for Finance, Mukhtar Al-Sharahi. The committee reviewed reports from various subcommittees regarding the performance of different sectors, including housing, transportation, food services, and healthcare. The committee emphasized the need for relevant authorities to intensify their efforts to ensure a successful and distinguished Hajj season.

Organizational and Administrative Arrangements

Minister Shabeeb presented the organizational and administrative arrangements made by the ministry in coordination with relevant agencies. He assured attendees that the ministry is committed to providing the best services to the guests of Allah, addressing any challenges that may arise during their pilgrimage.

Shabeeb highlighted that the transportation process is progressing according to the established plan. This plan includes providing transportation means, facilitating procedures at entry points, and monitoring the status of pilgrims from their departure until their arrival in the holy lands.

Committee members, representing various concerned entities, expressed their full commitment to serving Yemeni pilgrims. They pledged to continue coordinating with Saudi authorities to facilitate the performance of rituals and create a suitable environment for the pilgrims.
