Prime Minister Visits Coastal Qaw'ah Area, Addresses Residents' Concerns

On Saturday, Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, accompanied by Major General Mahmoud Subaihi, the Presidential Advisor for Defense and Security Affairs, visited the coastal area of Qaw’ah in the Al-Buraiqah district of Aden Governorate. During this visit, the Prime Minister met with local residents to discuss their concerns and needs.

Listening to Community Needs

During the meeting, Dr. bin Mubarak listened attentively to the residents’ issues, particularly regarding essential services such as water, education, health care, and road infrastructure. Residents expressed their gratitude for the Prime Minister’s visit, hoping it would lead to improved services and support for their community.

Immediate Action on Essential Services

In response to the residents’ concerns, Dr. bin Mubarak directed the Ministers of Water and Environment, Education, Public Health and Population, and Public Works and Roads to deploy field teams to Qaw’ah. These teams will assess the community’s urgent needs. The Prime Minister emphasized his commitment to monitoring the progress of the water project, ensuring the availability of medical staff at the health center, and providing teachers for the local school. He also included the paving of roads in the list of prioritized projects.

Commitment to Service Improvement

Dr. bin Mubarak reassured the residents that he would coordinate with relevant ministries and local authorities in Aden to enhance services in the area. He highlighted that serving citizens and alleviating their burdens, especially in marginalized regions, represents a national and ethical responsibility for all officials.

Local Economy and Development Opportunities

Residents, living in approximately 150 homes and totaling around 800 individuals, shared insights about their daily lives, which primarily depend on fishing. They expressed their aspirations for enhancing production, noting that the Qaw’ah coast is one of the richest fishing areas in Aden. They called for government and local support to develop this vital sector.

The Prime Minister’s visit included the presence of Minister of Electricity and Energy, Engineer Mani’ bin Yamin, and the Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, Engineer Anis Baharitha.

This engagement underscores the government’s commitment to addressing the needs of underserved communities in Yemen, emphasizing the importance of infrastructure and support for local economies.
