On Wednesday, Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak praised the effective efforts of the Turkish Ambassador to Yemen, Mustafa Bulat, during a farewell meeting in the temporary capital, Aden. The Prime Minister highlighted the ambassador’s role in enhancing bilateral relations and opening new avenues for cooperation that benefit both nations and their peoples.
During the meeting, Dr. bin Mubarak emphasized the historical relationship between Yemen and Turkey. He expressed a mutual commitment to further develop and strengthen these ties. The Prime Minister acknowledged Turkey’s supportive stance towards Yemen’s constitutional legitimacy and its efforts to restore state authority while addressing the humanitarian crisis caused by the Houthi rebellion.
Dr. bin Mubarak also recognized Turkey’s humanitarian contributions aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people. He noted the facilitation of services for the Yemeni community in Turkey and extended his best wishes to Ambassador Bulat for success in his future endeavors.
In response, Ambassador Bulat expressed gratitude for the cooperation he received during his tenure in Yemen. He reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to supporting Yemen and its legitimate government, emphasizing the importance of restoring state institutions and achieving stability and peace.
The meeting also addressed the latest developments in Yemen, as well as regional and international issues. Topics included the recent escalation of Israeli aggression in Gaza, Houthi threats to commercial shipping, and the shared interests of both countries regarding these pressing matters.
The meeting included the presence of the Prime Minister’s advisor, Ambassador Mujib Othman, who contributed to the discussions on Yemen’s current situation and future prospects.
This farewell meeting underscores the ongoing collaboration between Yemen and Turkey, reflecting a shared vision for stability and mutual support in the region.
