Key Figures Attend the Ceremony
On the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution, Sultan bin Ali Al-Aradah, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, and Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak attended the ceremonial lighting of the mother flame in Marib Governorate. The interior minister, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, the Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Saghir bin Aziz, and Marib Deputy Governor Ali Mohammed Al-Fatimi ignited the flame, marking the beginning of the celebrations for this significant event, which holds a special place in the hearts of Yemenis.
Youth Scouts Showcase National Pride
The celebration featured a vibrant youth scouting display, with 1,200 scouts from various governorates participating. They presented artistic performances that embodied the Yemeni people’s steadfast belief in the goals and principles of the September 26 Revolution and the republican system.
The display highlighted the revolution’s profound humanitarian value and the substantial achievements it has brought to various facets of life. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to carrying the torch of the revolution until they achieve all its objectives and defend its significant gains.
Renewing the Commitment to National Unity
At the conclusion of the event, Al-Aradah received the “Document of Commitment,” signed in blood by the scouts and guides. This document, which scout Qasim Ahmed Hussein Tarmush read aloud, expressed the scouts’ and youth’s pledge to stand united in preserving the nation’s security and stability against any threats. They also committed to advancing the establishment of a modern federal state.
Dignitaries and Officials in Attendance
The event drew a wide array of dignitaries, including Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Abdullah Abu Al-Ghaith, Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Muammar Al-Eryani, Interior Minister Major General Ibrahim Haidan, Minister of Industry and Trade Mohammed Al-Ashwal, and the Director of the Prime Minister’s Office Anis Baharitha. Additionally, members of the House of Representatives and Shura Council, governors of Sana’a and Raymah, university leaders from the Saba Region, ministry and governorate officials, the Central Bank’s banking sector supervisor, judicial authority leaders, military and security commanders, and various social figures attended the ceremony.
This anniversary not only commemorates a pivotal moment in Yemen’s history but also reinforces the collective resolve to safeguard the nation’s future.
