On Tuesday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, attended the opening session of the 79th United Nations General Assembly in New York. He was joined by council members Aidarus Al-Zubaidi and Othman Majali, alongside world leaders, heads of government, and representatives from regional and international organizations.

Yemen’s delegation for this year’s session includes Foreign Minister Dr. Shaea Al-Zandani, Yemen’s Permanent Representative to the UN Abdullah Al-Saadi, and Yemen’s Ambassador to the United States Mohammed Al-Hadhrami. This diverse group aims to represent Yemen’s interests on the global stage.

Later this Thursday, President Alimi will deliver a speech on behalf of the Republic of Yemen.
