National Committee Concludes Workshop on Human Rights Violations Trials

On Sunday, the National Committee for Investigating Allegations of Human Rights Violations wrapped up a specialized workshop focused on the nature of trials for those accused of such violations. This event received support from the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and included participation from 25 committee members, representatives from the judiciary, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, and civil society organizations.

Additionally, the committee shared its perspective on severe violations and the roles of various stakeholders in creating a conducive judicial environment.

Judges Hussein Al-Mashdali and Ishraq Al-Maqtari facilitated the workshop. They emphasized analyzing patterns of violations and identifying the technical support and capacity-building needs of judicial entities. This approach aims to enhance procedural clarity and ensure justice for victims.
