On Wednesday, the National Army successfully thwarted two infiltration attempts by the Houthi militia in the Tashrifat Front, located east of Taiz city. This incident marks a continuation of the militia’s aggressive attacks on military positions and residential areas.
According to the Media Center of the Taiz Axis, the army forces managed to repel the infiltration attempts early in the morning. This occurred after several hours of sporadic clashes in the Air Defense and Gharab fronts, situated in the northwest of the city.
This escalation follows the army’s recent success in thwarting similar infiltration attempts in the eastern and northeastern fronts. These battles lasted for several hours and resulted in the deaths of five Houthi fighters, with additional injuries reported among their ranks.
In recent weeks, the Houthi militia has intensified its hostile actions against army positions across various fronts in Taiz. Furthermore, they have escalated their targeting of residential areas through shelling and sniper attacks, leading to civilian casualties and injuries.
The ongoing conflict in Taiz highlights the urgent need for stability and peace in the region. The National Army remains vigilant in its efforts to protect both military and civilian lives against the backdrop of increasing Houthi aggression.
