The Ministry of Interior organized a significant seminar today in Sayun, Hadhramaut, to mark the 61st anniversary of the glorious October 14 Revolution of 1963. This event aimed to honor the historical and revolutionary value of the uprising against British colonial rule.
During the seminar, speakers highlighted the immense sacrifices made by revolutionaries who bravely confronted British colonialism. Their unwavering determination led to the departure of the last British soldier from South Yemen on November 30, 1967. The discussions emphasized the importance of recognizing these contributions to foster a deeper understanding of national identity.
Major General Dr. Musab Al-Sufi, Assistant Inspector General, facilitated the seminar. He underscored the significance of commemorating this anniversary, not only to honor the martyrs but also to instill a sense of resistance and struggle in younger generations. The speakers called for enhancing national awareness and educating the youth about their history.
Colonel Hashim Al-Hakimi delivered a compelling visual presentation showcasing the key figures of the October Revolution. He highlighted several pivotal moments that contributed to the success of the uprising, engaging attendees with a rich narrative of the past.
