Police apprehend 45 criminal offenses within 24 hours in liberated provinces.

Police Departments Report Significant Criminal Activity in Liberated Provinces

The police departments in the liberated provinces announced yesterday that they received 66 criminal reports. Within just 24 hours, officers managed to apprehend 45 crimes, while efforts continue to investigate 21 additional cases across the provinces of Hadramout (coastal), Shabwa, Abyan, Al-Dhale’e, Al-Hudaydah, and Lahij.

Breakdown of Criminal Incidents

According to security situation reports from command and control rooms, the apprehended crimes are categorized as follows:

  • 14 cases of intentional harm
  • 7 thefts
  • 5 cases of property damage
  • 4 cases of defamation
  • 3 drug possession and use cases
  • 2 cases of adultery
  • 2 cases of public fund damage
  • 1 case each of: intentional murder, breach of trust, threats, fighting, violation of home sanctity, intentional explosion, and rape.

Arrests Made Across Multiple Provinces

Security forces successfully detained 53 suspects across various provinces. Aden recorded the highest number of suspects, with 16 individuals apprehended. Following Aden, Taiz reported 8 suspects, while Hadramout (coastal) had 6 suspects. Both Al-Dhale’e and Lahij saw 5 suspects each. Additionally, 4 suspects were arrested in Marib, 3 in Al-Mahra and Hajjah, 2 in Shabwa, and 1 in Abyan.

Legal Proceedings Underway

Reports confirmed that the detained suspects have been referred to the relevant authorities to complete legal procedures based on the charges against them. The ongoing investigations aim to ensure justice and maintain security in the region.
