The Ministry of Awqaf and Guidance has officially declared that Thursday will mark the completion of Ramadan. This announcement follows the failure to sight the Shawwal crescent moon. Consequently, Friday will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
Crescent Moon Not Sighted
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the ministry explained that the committee responsible for moon sighting, which includes astronomers, judges, and scholars, could not observe the crescent moon this evening. Therefore, Thursday, March 19, 2026, will complete the month of Ramadan.
Eid al-Fitr Greetings
On this significant religious occasion, the Ministry of Awqaf and Guidance extended heartfelt congratulations to the Yemeni people, both domestically and abroad. The ministry also conveyed its best wishes to the political leadership, represented by the President of the Presidential Leadership Council and its members.
