Minister of Water and Environment Participates in Virtual Meeting on Environmental Development

Today, in the temporary capital of Aden, Minister of Water and Environment Engineer Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi participated via video conference in the eighth meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Center for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE).

The meeting brought together water and environment ministers from Arab countries and relevant stakeholders. Participants focused on several critical agenda items, including:

  • Approval of the Agenda: The board reviewed and approved the meeting’s agenda.
  • Duration of Current Board: Members discussed the term length for the current Board of Trustees, in accordance with the amended CEDARE charter.
  • Administrative and Financial Matters: The meeting addressed administrative, financial, and professional aspects, alongside evaluating the center’s professional and financial capabilities.
  • Strategic Priorities: Participants outlined strategic priorities and proposed steps for the upcoming phase, in addition to reviewing the center’s financial report.
