Today, in the temporary capital of Aden, Minister of Water and Environment Engineer Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi participated via video conference in the eighth meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Center for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE).
The meeting brought together water and environment ministers from Arab countries and relevant stakeholders. Participants focused on several critical agenda items, including:
Minister Al-Sharjabi praised the proactive efforts toward institutional restructuring, emphasizing the importance of enhancing transparency and improving performance efficiency. He highlighted CEDARE’s accumulated expertise and strategic vision, which position it as a leading regional development institution in the environmental sector.
The Minister reaffirmed the Yemeni government’s full support for initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, ensure financial sustainability, and expand impact among member states. He expressed confidence in continuing the reforms already initiated. Al-Sharjabi commended CEDARE’s diligent efforts and expressed hope for achieving better results that serve developmental and environmental issues.
