In a significant meeting held today in Aden, the temporary capital of Yemen, Dr. Anwar Al-Mahri, the Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, engaged with Dr. Ahmed Samir, the National Coordinator for the UNESCO Regional Center for Quality and Excellence in Education. The discussion focused on strengthening collaborative efforts to improve the quality of technical and vocational education in Yemen.
During the meeting, which also included Dr. Ahmed Klib, the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Quality, participants emphasized the need for implementing strategic projects aimed at reforming the education sector. These projects will involve developing institutional policies and updating educational and training curricula to align with modern standards and the demands of the job market across various fields.
Minister Al-Mahri reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to forming strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders and supporters. Al-Mahri acknowledged that the technical and vocational education sector has faced significant challenges in recent years.
