Minister of Social Affairs Discusses Humanitarian Partnership in Aden

In a significant meeting held today in Aden, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Mukhtar Al-Yafai, engaged with Arman Yedjaryan, the Acting Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The discussions focused on enhancing humanitarian partnerships and coordinating efforts to support displaced individuals, refugees, and host communities.

Supporting Refugees and Host Communities

The meeting addressed various mechanisms to support refugees and expand UNHCR projects. Participants explored ways to facilitate the implementation of interventions in liberated provinces. Additionally, they discussed protection issues and emphasized the importance of directing aid to those in need, particularly in host communities that bear the increasing burden of refugee and displaced populations.

Al-Yafai reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to serving all individuals without discrimination. He stressed the importance of maintaining human dignity and enhancing protection for vulnerable groups.
