The Minister of Information stated that the grand funeral of Sheikh Naji Jumaan Al-Jadri reflects the growing isolation of the Houthis.

Large Turnout Marks Farewell to Sheikh Naji Jumaan Al-Jadri

Significant Political Statement Made at Funeral

Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Muammar Al-Eryani emphasized the profound significance of the large turnout at the funeral of Sheikh Naji Jumaan Al-Jadri. Al-Jadri, a member of the General Committee of the General People’s Congress and a prominent tribal leader of Bani Al-Harith, received a farewell that transcended mere ceremony. Al-Eryani described the event as a silent political and popular demonstration, underscoring that the Yemeni tribes, which the Houthis have attempted to subdue through money and force, still retain their autonomy and loyalty to their symbols and national principles.

Sheikh Al-Jadri’s Legacy

In a press statement, Al-Eryani noted that Sheikh Al-Jadri passed away in Cairo after spending eight years in exile following the December uprising. Throughout his life, he remained steadfast in his national positions, refusing to submit to the Houthi militia until his death in exile. His unwavering commitment to his beliefs resonated deeply with those who attended the funeral.

A Rare Display of Tribal Unity

The impressive funeral in Sana’a occurred despite the tight security grip imposed by the militia. This rare occasion allowed tribes to break their silence, sending clear political messages that reflect the growing public discontent and rejection of the Houthi militia. This sentiment is particularly strong among tribal communities that have faced years of intimidation and exclusion.

Signs of Houthi Isolation

Al-Eryani highlighted that this event signals the increasing isolation of the Houthi militia, even in areas they consider strongholds. The crowds at the funeral made their stance clear, proclaiming, "The nightmare will end, and the will of the people is stronger than the militia’s oppression."

A Tribute to a National Symbol

Concluding his statement, Al-Eryani paid tribute to Sheikh Naji Jumaan Al-Jadri, a symbol of the December uprising who bravely confronted tyranny. He reaffirmed that the Yemeni people will soon bury the Houthi project for good, marking a significant turning point in the ongoing struggle for freedom and sovereignty.
