Minister Launches Documentary Series “Discover Yemen”
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – On Sunday evening, Yemen’s Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, inaugurated the documentary series “Discover Yemen” at the Cultural Palace in Riyadh. The event attracted a diverse audience, including diplomats accredited to Yemen, officials, and media representatives.
A New Perspective on Yemeni Heritage
Minister Al-Eryani praised the project, which the Hadhramaut Foundation for Culture developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism. He emphasized that this initiative opens new windows into Yemeni memory and contributes to reviving the country’s rich cultural, artistic, and historical heritage. The series aims to present this heritage in a contemporary format that resonates with local, regional, and international audiences through modern visual storytelling.
Spotlight on Yemen’s Cultural Diversity
The first phase of the series will focus on four Yemeni governorates known for their unique cultural and tourist legacies. Al-Eryani noted that future productions will cover additional governorates, highlighting Yemen’s diverse cultural and historical landscape, which positions the country as a potential global tourist destination.

During the launch, Al-Eryani described “Discover Yemen” as a practical model for integrating cultural and tourism sectors. He expressed a strong belief in the power of visual arts to create a positive image of Yemen, showcasing it as a land of history, beauty, and humanity.

The minister expressed hope that the project would extend beyond film production to establish a sustainable pathway for high-quality visual content.
