Celebrating Academic Achievement

On Thursday, Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, joined Al-Mahra Governor, Mohammed Ali Yasser, and Al-Mahra University President, Dr. Anwar Kulshat, to celebrate the graduation of the university’s first cohort. This event took place under the patronage of Dr. Rashad Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council.

The ceremony attracted a significant audience, including the Secretary-General of the Al-Mahra Local Council, Salem Nimer, and various local authority leaders. Graduates from different departments, including the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Applied and Health Sciences, and the Open Education Faculty, received honors. Families expressed their joy and pride in their children’s achievements.

Minister’s Remarks on Education and Community

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Minister Al-Eryani expressed his immense happiness at participating in this festive occasion, referring to the graduating class as “a dream realized.” He emphasized the vital role of university students in spreading awareness and knowledge to counteract destructive ideologies and contribute positively to society.

Al-Eryani noted that his visit to Al-Mahra aligns with directives from President Alimi, highlighting the president’s commitment to supporting local governance, enhancing security and stability, and improving public services.

Minister Al-Eryani commended Governor Mohammed Ali Yasser for his support and investment in the educational process. He expressed gratitude to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for prioritizing Al-Mahra University as a beacon of knowledge and enlightenment.

He encouraged graduates to strive for further academic excellence and to contribute actively to their communities. Al-Eryani wished them success in their future endeavors, hoping they would enhance Yemen’s development and prosperity.

Governor’s Vision for Al-Mahra University

Governor Mohammed Ali Yasser conveyed his joy at attending the graduation ceremony, acknowledging the contributions of all those who helped establish the university. Dr. Anwar Kulshat, President of Al-Mahra University, welcomed the Minister and the Governor, praising Yasser’s support for the university’s programs. He expressed pride in the graduation of the first class, which includes 234 students, and congratulated the graduates while wishing them a bright future.
