Dr. Mohammed Shabeeb, Yemen’s Minister of Awqaf and Guidance and head of the Yemeni Hajj Affairs Office, met with Dr. Adel Al-Manshi, Deputy Minister of Health in Saudi Arabia for Investment. The discussion focused on the operations of the medical committee associated with the Yemeni Hajj mission for the 1446 Hajj season.
The meeting included key figures such as Dr. Abdullah Dahan, Deputy Minister of Public Health and Population and head of the medical committee, Dr. Mukhtar Al-Khadr, Deputy Minister of Awqaf for Hajj and Umrah, and Aref Al-Barkani, Assistant Deputy Minister for Hajj and Umrah. They addressed the challenges facing the medical committee and explored solutions to enhance services for Yemeni pilgrims.
The attendees reviewed the status of the medical clinics operated by the Yemeni Hajj mission in Mecca. They discussed operational difficulties and strategies to overcome these challenges, ensuring that pilgrims receive the necessary medical attention.
Minister Shabeeb praised the efforts of Saudi Arabia in enhancing services for pilgrims. He emphasized Yemen’s commitment to aligning with these developments, contributing to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
Shabeeb highlighted the significance of such meetings in strengthening coordination and communication between both parties. He stressed the need for ongoing discussions to achieve the noble goals of serving pilgrims and facilitating their religious practices.
Dr. Abdullah Dahan, the Deputy Minister of Health, acknowledged the Saudi Ministry of Health’s commitment to addressing challenges faced by medical committees across various missions. He commended the Yemeni Hajj Affairs Office for its efforts in improving health services for pilgrims during the Hajj season.
Dahan underscored the importance of enhancing coordination between Yemeni and Saudi officials to ensure satisfactory medical services for pilgrims. He reviewed essential health requirements necessary for the safety of pilgrims during Hajj.
The Deputy Minister of Awqaf expressed confidence in the Saudi Ministry of Health’s role in facilitating the medical committee’s work. He expressed optimism that Saudi officials would provide all necessary support to enable the Yemeni Hajj mission to fulfill its responsibilities effectively.
Dr. Al-Manshi discussed the measures and guidelines implemented to ensure optimal medical services for pilgrims. He noted that efforts are underway to finalize the requirements for opening additional medical clinics for the Yemeni mission.
Al-Manshi emphasized the need to establish a priority list for challenges and a timeline for addressing them, ensuring compliance with required standards and safeguarding the health of pilgrims in coordination with the medical committee and the Yemeni Hajj Affairs Office.
Following the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Health, accompanied by Al-Manshi and the Deputy Minister of Awqaf for Hajj and Umrah, conducted a field visit to the "Amanuna Medical Complex." They assessed the medical and health services available to Yemeni pilgrims around the clock.
This collaborative effort aims to ensure that Yemeni pilgrims receive the best possible care during their sacred journey.
