In a significant meeting held today in the temporary capital of Aden, Sheikh Turki Al-Wad’i, the Minister of Awqaf and Guidance, engaged with Abdullah Al-Sha’ari, the Deputy Director General for Commercial Affairs at Yemen Airways. The discussion focused on enhancing air transport services for pilgrims in anticipation of the upcoming Hajj season 1448 AH.

Evaluating Last Year’s Hajj Season

The meeting, attended by Dr. Aref Nasib, the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Hajj and Umrah, reviewed the previous Hajj season (1447 AH). Participants assessed the challenges faced during the pilgrimage, particularly regarding the organization of pilgrim transportation. They emphasized the need to address these issues to improve efficiency and service quality for the upcoming season.

Importance of Early Arrangements

Minister Al-Wad’i stressed the necessity of initiating preparations well in advance for the Hajj season. He highlighted the importance of fostering coordination and collaboration between the Ministry of Awqaf and Guidance, Yemen Airways, and other relevant entities. The goal is to enhance performance and elevate the quality of services provided to pilgrims beyond previous years.

Yemen Airways’ Commitment

In response, Abdullah Al-Sha’ari confirmed Yemen Airways’ readiness to leverage its resources and fully cooperate with the Ministry to ensure a successful Hajj season. This commitment reflects the airline’s dedication to supporting the needs of pilgrims and improving their travel experience.

The discussions mark a proactive approach to preparing for the Hajj, aiming to create a seamless experience for all participants.
