The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology has released a three-day weather advisory. This alert warns of heavy thunderstorms and strong winds affecting several provinces in Yemen.
The forecast includes the western and southwestern highlands, stretching from Saada in the north to Al-Dhale and Taiz in the south. Additionally, the warning extends to Marib, Al-Jawf, and coastal plains. Scattered rainfall is also expected in the deserts and interior highlands of Al-Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Al-Bayda, Abyan, and even Aden.
The authority urges citizens to avoid riverbeds and flood channels, as well as slippery roads. Residents should steer clear of power lines, billboards, and trees during storms. Furthermore, it is advisable to turn off mobile phones to ensure safety during severe weather conditions.
