Interior Minister Reviews Progress of Marib Police Department

Today, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, Yemen’s Interior Minister, conducted an on-site review of the operations at the Marib Police Department. This visit aimed to enhance security and stability within the region. During his tour, he inspected various divisions, including the Residential Areas Administration, the Women’s Police Department, and the Operations Department.

Key Discussions on Security Enhancements

Accompanied by First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Mohammed Salem bin Aboud Al-Sharif, Minister Haidan held a meeting with the Director General of Marib Police, Major General Yahya Hamid, and several other security leaders. They discussed critical issues related to improving performance and increasing the effectiveness of security operations. The meeting focused on identifying the various needs of the police department to ensure they can fulfill their national duties with the required efficiency and professionalism.

Celebrating National Holidays and Boosting Morale

During the visit, Minister Haidan conveyed the congratulations and best wishes of the political leadership, represented by President Rashad Mohammed Alimi and members of the Presidential Leadership Council, in celebration of Yemen’s national holidays: September 26 Revolution Day, October 14, and November 30. He emphasized the importance of utilizing these national occasions to boost morale and enhance security performance.

Acknowledging Security Achievements

Minister Haidan praised the significant efforts made by security leaders and the achievements they have accomplished over the past years in reinforcing security and stability. He highlighted their success in combating organized crime and thwarting numerous plots orchestrated by the Iran-backed Houthi militia, which posed threats to the region’s safety and community fabric. He urged all security personnel to intensify their efforts and maintain high levels of vigilance and readiness.

Commitment to Continuous Training and Development

The Interior Minister reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing the capabilities of security personnel through ongoing training and specialized development in all areas. He stressed the necessity for coordinated efforts to address various security challenges and ensure the ongoing preservation of security and stability amid current conditions. Haidan also commended the substantial support provided by Council Member Major General Sultan Al-Arada in developing the capabilities and resources of the security forces in Marib.

This proactive approach by the Interior Ministry reflects Yemen’s ongoing efforts to establish a secure environment and strengthen the rule of law in the region.
