Kuwaiti Support for Yemen's Security Sector Discussed

Today, Interior Minister Major General Ibrahim Haidan met with Kuwaiti Ambassador to Yemen, Falah Al-Hajraf, to explore ways to enhance Kuwaiti support for Yemen’s security sector. The discussions focused on training, capacity building, and the exchange of expertise between the security agencies of both nations. These efforts aim to bolster stability and security in Yemen, enabling its security forces to effectively address various challenges.

Strengthening Bilateral Relations

Minister Haidan emphasized the deep-rooted ties between Yemen and Kuwait. He acknowledged Kuwait’s significant role in supporting Yemen during its ongoing struggles. The minister expressed gratitude for Kuwait’s contributions and reiterated the importance of continued collaboration.

Kuwait’s Commitment to Yemen

In response, Ambassador Al-Hajraf expressed Kuwait’s readiness to provide further assistance to Yemen across multiple sectors, particularly in security and development. He affirmed that Kuwait will always stand by Yemen in its various endeavors. The ambassador also wished success to Yemen’s security efforts in enhancing peace and stability throughout the country.

Key Attendees

The meeting also included the Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Dr. Faiz Ghalab, who contributed to the discussions on strengthening security cooperation.

This collaboration between Yemen and Kuwait highlights the commitment of both nations to work together for a more secure and stable future.
