The General Inspector of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Dr. Faiz Ghalab, conducted a field visit to the ministry’s headquarters in Sayoun. Accompanied by Assistant General Inspector Major General Dr. Musab Al-Sufi, Ghalab reviewed the operational progress across various departments.
During the visit, Ghalab explored the General Command and Control Department. He received a detailed briefing from Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Haddad, who outlined the department’s role in enhancing security and stability in the region. Ghalab praised the department’s efforts to improve coordination among different security units.
Ghalab also visited the General Department for International Cooperation and Interpol Police. He connected with the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers to gather information and access databases related to security cooperation aimed at combating crime. This step underscores the importance of international collaboration in addressing security challenges.
The General Inspector discussed the procedures for issuing electronic military cards, emphasizing their significance in eliminating job duplication and safeguarding the rights of security personnel. He stressed the need to link the information network with the civil status network to streamline processes.
Additionally, Ghalab visited the General Department for Drug Control, where he highlighted the importance of drug prevention initiatives in collaboration with civil society organizations. This partnership aims to address drug-related issues effectively.
In the final leg of his visit, Ghalab met with the Director General of the Valley and Desert Police of Hadramout, Brigadier General Abdullah Salem bin Habish. They discussed the achievements made over the past year and the critical role of coordination among security agencies. Bin Habish emphasized the importance of community partnerships in achieving security and stability.
This visit by the General Inspector reflects a commitment to enhancing security measures and fostering collaboration across various sectors. The focus on coordination, international cooperation, and community engagement marks a proactive approach to addressing security challenges in the region.
