On Monday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, the head of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, convened with the Joint Security and Military Committee. This committee was established following the power transfer announcement.
During the meeting, President Alimi received an update from the committee’s chairman, Major General Haitham Qassem Taher, along with the committee’s deputy and members. Furthermore, the President reiterated the Presidential Leadership Council’s full support for the Joint Security and Military Committee. He emphasized the importance of fulfilling the committee’s tasks as mandated by its formation decision.
The meeting also included the presence of Major General Ahmed Al-Aqeeli, the director of the Supreme Commander’s office, highlighting the importance of this gathering for the future of the nation’s security and military efforts.
