General Operations Chief Honors Fallen Soldiers in Marib

Today, Major General Khalid Al-Ashwal, the Chief of General Operations, laid a wreath at the Unknown Soldier Monument in Marib. This ceremony marks the celebration of the Yemeni Revolution anniversaries on September 26, October 14, and November 30. These dates symbolize the struggle for independence and national unity in Yemen.

Remembering the Martyrs

During the ceremony, General Al-Ashwal paid tribute to the souls of the nation’s martyrs who fought throughout various phases of Yemen’s liberation. He emphasized that the Yemeni army and the country’s free citizens continue to follow in the footsteps of the early revolutionaries. They stand resolutely against the resurgence of the theocratic Imamate regime. Al-Ashwal stated that Yemenis today are engaged in a sacred and noble national battle across the operational theater of the Republic of Yemen.

Military Leadership in Attendance

Accompanying General Al-Ashwal during this significant visit were several high-ranking military officials. Among them were Brigadier General Abdul-Raqeeb Daban, Chief of Staff of the Third Military Region, and Brigadier General Muhammad Tawaf, Chief of Military Police. Additionally, Brigadier General Abdul-Khaliq Mansar, Assistant Head of the Training Authority, and Brigadier General Pilot Ali Al-Ghanimi, Commander of the Sixth Drone Brigade, were present. Brigadier General Muhammad Al-Qasimi, Commander of the 21st Advanced Center, also joined the delegation, alongside numerous other military and security leaders.

This event not only honors the sacrifices of Yemen’s heroes but also reinforces the commitment of the armed forces to uphold the values of freedom and sovereignty in the face of ongoing challenges.
