Today, Major General Ahmed Al-Yafei, head of the Intelligence and Reconnaissance Authority, met with a delegation from the Japanese international organization "Accept" in Marib Governorate. The discussion focused on enhancing collaborative efforts between the two parties.
The meeting highlighted cooperation in the areas of reintegration and rehabilitation for individuals returning from Houthi militia prisons. Additionally, they discussed the rehabilitation of war-injured individuals. These initiatives aim to support community stability and assist affected groups in reintegrating into society.
The participants reviewed the scope of interventions and projects implemented by the Japanese organization. These initiatives span political, economic, and humanitarian support, particularly focusing on the rehabilitation and reintegration of youth affected by armed conflict.
Major General Al-Yafei emphasized the deep historical ties between Yemen and Japan. He praised the humanitarian and developmental role of Japanese organizations, which reflect their genuine desire to support the Yemeni people amid the ongoing war against the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.
Al-Yafei also referenced his previous meeting with the Japanese ambassador and military attaché, who reaffirmed their country’s full support for the Yemeni armed forces. Japan stands firmly alongside Yemen in its struggle to restore state sovereignty.
Yosuke Nagai, the Executive Director of "Accept," discussed the organization’s interventions across various humanitarian and developmental sectors. He confirmed the organization’s ongoing support for Yemen and expressed a keen interest in the details of the war and the violations committed by the Houthi militia. Nagai reiterated their readiness to provide comprehensive assistance to Yemen.
This meeting marks a significant step in fostering international collaboration aimed at rebuilding and stabilizing Yemen during these challenging times.
