The Hadhramaut Tribes Alliance welcomes the Leadership Council’s plan to normalize conditions in the governorate.

Tribal Alliance of Hadhramaut Welcomes Presidential Council's Plan

The Tribal Alliance of Hadhramaut has expressed strong support for the Presidential Council’s plan aimed at addressing the needs of the people in Hadhramaut and normalizing conditions in the governorate. This endorsement came during an extraordinary meeting held today in the Al-Aleeb area of Hadhramaut Plateau.

Meeting Highlights and Key Discussions

During the meeting, the alliance discussed the current situation and recent developments following the Presidential Council’s announcement regarding the plan to respond to the demands of the Hadhrami people. The alliance emphasized its commitment to empowering the residents of Hadhramaut politically, administratively, and militarily.

Furthermore, the alliance expressed its readiness to engage in discussions and arrangements for implementing the measures outlined in the presidential statement. They proposed the formation of specialized committees from Hadhramaut to develop actionable plans based on the directives provided.

Addressing Corruption and Oil Smuggling

The alliance underscored the importance of investigating corruption related to crude oil smuggling and the mismanagement of Hadhramaut’s resources. In a gesture of goodwill, they announced a temporary initiative allowing the passage of crude oil designated for electricity in Aden for a period not exceeding two weeks, starting from Sunday, January 12, 2025. This initiative aims to facilitate the implementation of the presidential statement.

Acknowledging Security Forces and International Support

The Tribal Alliance of Hadhramaut commended the efforts of the Hadhrami Elite Forces in safeguarding the security and stability of the region. Their commitment to preventing internal conflicts that could disrupt Hadhrami unity was particularly noted.

Additionally, the alliance expressed gratitude toward the leadership of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, represented by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, for their understanding and supportive efforts. Their contributions have been crucial in reaching this advanced stage of Hadhramaut’s needs.

The alliance’s statement reflects a proactive approach to addressing local concerns while fostering collaboration with national and international partners.
