Gulf Cooperation Council Condemns Attack on East-West Pipeline

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassem Al-Budaiwi, strongly condemned the targeting of the East-West Pipeline in the Riyadh and Medina regions. This attack involved several drones originating from Iraqi territory, resulting in human injuries and material damage.

Serious Escalation and Threat to Saudi Security

Al-Budaiwi emphasized that this assault represents a serious escalation and a direct threat to the security of the Kingdom, as well as the safety of its territory and vital installations. He described the act as a blatant violation of international law.

Call for Iraqi Government to Take Firm Action

The Secretary-General urged the Iraqi government to enhance its efforts and take decisive measures to prevent its territory from being used as a launchpad for such attacks. He called for actions to stop these aggressions and prevent their recurrence, which would contribute to maintaining security and stability in the region and avoiding escalation.
