Today, Governor Awdh bin Al-Wazir of Shabwa examined the details of the proposed public budget for the fiscal year 2025. The budget estimates total resources and expenditures at 27 billion, 79 million, and 926 thousand riyals. The governor focused on how these funds will be allocated within the overall financial framework.
During a meeting with Ahmad Abdulkhaleq, the head of the technical committee responsible for budget preparation, Governor Awdh praised the efforts made in developing the budget. He emphasized that the budget addresses the essential development needs of various sectors in the province. The governor highlighted the importance of improving services for citizens and meeting their needs. He directed that the budget proposal be submitted to the upcoming session of the executive office for discussion and approval.
In addition to the budget review, Governor Awdh also assessed the progress of the construction and rehabilitation project for the late Nasser Al-Khalifi Stadium in the city of Ataq. This project, funded locally, has a budget of 177 thousand dollars. The governor commended the pace of work and underscored the stadium’s significance as a key venue for sports in the province.
Governor Awdh’s proactive approach in reviewing the budget and sports infrastructure projects reflects his commitment to enhancing the quality of life for Shabwa’s residents. By prioritizing essential services and facilities, the governor aims to foster development and community engagement in the region.
