On Sunday, Governor Awdh bin al-Wazir visited the ongoing solar energy project in the city of Ataq. This initiative, funded by the United Arab Emirates through Electromica International, aims to enhance the energy infrastructure in the province.
During the visit, the governor received a detailed briefing from the project engineers. They outlined the current level of completion and the remaining phases. The engineers emphasized that work is progressing rapidly to complete the project as soon as possible.

This solar energy project stands out as one of the most significant developmental initiatives in the energy sector. It boasts a production capacity of 53 megawatts and includes a storage system, a conversion station, and transmission lines stretching 19 kilometers.
