The Governor of Shabwa, Sheikh Awad bin al-Wazir, has approved funding for a significant infrastructure development project aimed at enhancing the western entrance of the provincial capital, Ataq. This initiative marks a crucial step toward improving urban infrastructure in the region.
In a recent meeting, Governor Awad bin al-Wazir discussed the project’s components with Engineer Awad Dayman, the Director General of the Public Roads and Bridges Authority. The project will unfold in phases, with the local branch of the authority overseeing its implementation. Key elements of the project include:

In a separate initiative, Governor Awad bin al-Wazir reviewed the current state of education at Ataq Girls’ Secondary School. During his visit, he toured all classrooms and engaged in conversations with students. He praised their enthusiasm for learning and their readiness for upcoming transitional and general secondary examinations.
To further support the school, the governor directed the provision of a mini-computer lab, the installation of a solar energy system, and the acquisition of additional student desks. These enhancements aim to create a more conducive learning environment for the students.
Governor Awad bin al-Wazir’s initiatives reflect a commitment to improving both infrastructure and education in Shabwa. The infrastructure project promises to enhance urban living conditions, while the educational support aims to empower the next generation of leaders in the region.
