Government Welcomes U.S. Decision

During the meeting, Minister Al-Zindani expressed the Yemeni government’s strong support for the U.S. designation. He emphasized the significance of this decision in weakening the Houthi militias. Commitment to Humanitarian Considerations

Furthermore, Minister Al-Zindani assured that the Yemeni government is ready to enhance coordination and cooperation with the U.S. government. This collaboration aims to ensure the effective implementation of the designation while mitigating any negative impacts on the humanitarian situation in Yemen.

U.S. Ambassador Reiterates Support for Yemen

In response, Ambassador Fagin reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to supporting the Yemeni leadership and government. He noted that the designation responds to the threats posed by the Houthi militias to U.S. security and the stability of Yemen, the region, and the world. The ambassador stressed the importance of strengthening coordination and cooperation between the two allied nations.

This dialogue underscores the ongoing efforts to address the challenges posed by the Houthi militias and the commitment of both the Yemeni government and the United States to work together for a more stable and secure Yemen.
