In response to the ash fallout, the National Disaster Mitigation Agency urged residents to exercise caution. They recommended minimizing outdoor activities, wearing masks, and using eye protection. Additionally, residents should cover water sources and drive carefully due to reduced visibility. Local reports indicated that several schools canceled activities on Saturday after students and residents experienced eye irritation. Fishermen also suspended their sea trips due to the volcanic activity.

Alert Level Remains at Level Three

Authorities have maintained the volcano’s alert level at Level Three and prohibited residents and visitors from approaching within three kilometers of the active crater. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries or evacuation orders, and there are no indications of an imminent tsunami threat.
