Today, Dr. Abdulqawi Al-Makhlafi, the Deputy Governor of Taiz, inaugurated the temporary headquarters of Al-Tali’a Sports and Cultural Club. He was accompanied by Eng. Foad Fadhel, the Director of the Youth and Sports Office, and Dr. Fares Al-Absi, the club’s executive director.
During the opening ceremony, Deputy Governor Al-Makhlafi emphasized the local government’s commitment to the sports sector. He highlighted the efforts of Governor Nabil Shamsan in rehabilitating sports facilities. The government aims to assess the needs for renovation and development, which will enhance sports activities and provide ample space for youth engagement. This initiative seeks to create an environment conducive to nurturing young talents and promoting their athletic creativity.
Al-Makhlafi praised the Ministry of Youth and Sports for its ongoing support in restoring and rehabilitating sports facilities. He acknowledged the ministry’s efforts to assist clubs in the province that suffered destruction due to the Houthi militia, backed by the Iranian regime.
Eng. Foad Fadhel, the Director of the Youth and Sports Office, underscored the significance of this event in boosting the sports movement within Taiz. He assured attendees that the office remains dedicated to supporting clubs and fostering an environment that encourages their activities.
Dr. Fares Al-Absi, the president of Al-Tali’a Club, explained that the opening of the new headquarters aligns with the club’s mission to enhance its role in serving the sports and cultural community. The club aims to strengthen its impact and support the local population through various initiatives.
The establishment of the new headquarters marks a significant step forward in the revitalization of sports in Taiz, fostering community engagement and youth development.
