Meeting Highlights Key Arrangements

Lieutenant General Ahmed Al-Basr Salem, the Deputy Chief of Staff, convened a meeting to finalize preparations for the 17th Leadership and Staff Course at the Military Academy in Aden, the temporary capital. The meeting included key figures such as Major General Mohammed Al-Radfani, Head of Training and Rehabilitation, Major General Hussein Bin Atique, Director of the Military Academy, and Major General Naji Abbas, Deputy Chief of Military Operations.

Selection Process Emphasizes Military Competence

During the meeting, participants reviewed the acceptance process and criteria for selecting candidates. They emphasized the importance of military competence and fair distribution among various military forces and regions. This approach aims to ensure that the most qualified individuals receive training, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the military.

Thorough Vetting and Urgency in Arrangements

Lieutenant General Al-Basr stressed the need for a comprehensive review of applicants’ files. He highlighted the importance of adhering to the required selection criteria and military competence. Furthermore, he urged the team to expedite the final arrangements for the acceptance process. Al-Basr recognized the vital role the Military Academy plays in developing officers’ leadership skills, preparing them to face military challenges effectively.

Commitment to Educational Development

The Deputy Chief of Staff also noted the Minister of Defense’s commitment to enhancing military educational institutions and training leadership personnel. He remarked that this course represents a crucial step in bolstering the army’s readiness and equipping it with skilled leaders. This initiative reflects the ongoing efforts to improve military capabilities and ensure a well-prepared force for future challenges.
