Marib, Yemen – Today, Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari, accompanied by Chief of General Staff and Joint Operations Commander Lieutenant General Sagheer Bin Aziz, assessed the combat readiness of the Third Military Region in Marib Governorate.
During his visit, the Minister conveyed greetings from the highest political and military leadership to the personnel in the region. He praised their resilience and bravery, emphasizing the pivotal role the Third Military Region has played in countering the Houthi militia since their coup against the state.
Al-Daari expressed pride in being present at a site known as a stronghold for heroes. He remarked, “This is where the resistance began, and leaders, alongside the free people of Yemen, liberated many areas previously controlled by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.”
The Minister highlighted the heroic achievements of the Third Military Region, particularly honoring the late Lieutenant General Abdulrab Al-Shadadi, who significantly organized the forces and popular resistance against the Houthi militia. He paid tribute to all fallen soldiers and wished a swift recovery for the wounded.
Al-Daari commended the discipline and organization within the Third Military Region. He urged for continued training, preparation, and readiness to enhance the capabilities of armed forces personnel at all levels.
This visit underscores the ongoing commitment to strengthening Yemen’s military forces in the face of ongoing challenges.
