Minister of Defense Participates in Aero India 2025 and Bridge Conference

Bengaluru Hosts International Aerospace Exhibition

Today, Major General Mohsen Al-Daari, Yemen’s Minister of Defense, participated in the Bridge Conference for Defense Ministers, themed “Building Resilience through International Defense and Global Cooperation.” This event took place as part of the 15th International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition, Aero India 2025, in Bengaluru, India.

Praise for Organizational Excellence

In his address at the conference, Minister Al-Daari commended the high level of organization and coordination of the international airshow and the Bridge Conference for Defense Ministers in friendly India. He highlighted the long-standing Yemeni-Indian relations and acknowledged India’s support for Yemen’s legitimacy. Additionally, he noted India’s assistance in various fields, particularly in training and qualifying Yemeni personnel in Indian educational institutions.

Highlighting Yemen’s Struggles

The Minister addressed the suffering of the Yemeni people due to the war imposed by Houthi militias over the past decade. He explained that the threat posed by these militias extends across the region, disrupting international peace and security by targeting maritime navigation in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb Strait.

Call for International Support

Major General Al-Daari emphasized the urgent need for a firm international stance to support Yemen and its armed forces in confronting the Houthi militias and their affiliated terrorist organizations. He called for efforts to restore sovereignty over the entire national territory, re-establish state institutions, and secure global trade routes. This, he argued, is essential for achieving progress, prosperity, and sustainable development.

Conference Objectives

The conference aims to discuss strategic partnerships and enhance international cooperation in defense. It focuses on building resilience through global defense collaboration and strengthening relationships among nations to achieve mutual security and prosperity.
