Defense Minister Visits Al-Ghayda Axis in Al-Mahra

Minister’s Field Visit

Defense Minister Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Dhaeri conducted a field visit to the Al-Ghayda Axis in Al-Mahra Governorate. He was accompanied by Governor Mohammed Ali Yasser, as well as other key officials, including Major General Abdulaziz Al-Faqih, Head of the Logistics Support Authority, and Colonel Ali Hatim, the Minister’s Advisor for Training.

Acknowledging Military Readiness

During the visit, the minister conveyed greetings from political and military leadership. He praised the high level of discipline and combat readiness among the troops. Al-Dhaeri emphasized the vital role these forces play in maintaining security and combating terrorism and smuggling. He also appreciated the local authority’s support for the axis’s efforts, highlighting the importance of enhancing training and reinforcing military discipline to ensure the effectiveness of the defense institution.

Addressing National Security Threats

Lieutenant General Al-Dhaeri stressed the need to intensify efforts against smuggling, which poses a direct threat to national security. He committed to honoring the sacrifices of martyrs and the wounded until achieving complete victory.

Readiness to Face Challenges

In response, Major General Mohsen Marsa, Commander of the Al-Ghayda Axis, affirmed the readiness of the units to tackle challenges. He noted the successes achieved in stabilizing the region and combating smuggling activities.

Foundation Stone Laid for New Command Building

The visit concluded with the laying of the foundation stone for a new command building in Al-Ghayda City. This initiative aims to strengthen the organizational and operational structure of the forces in the governorate.
