Today, Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Dr. Taher Al-Aqeeli convened a comprehensive meeting in Marib. The gathering included the Deputy Ministers of Defense, the Inspector General, heads of military departments, and leaders from the sixth and seventh military regions, along with the staff of the third military region. The meeting focused on the latest military developments and the current requirements of the armed forces.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Al-Aqeeli welcomed the newly appointed military leaders who recently earned the confidence of political leadership. He expressed his wishes for their success in fulfilling their duties and emphasized their role in enhancing the institutional performance of the armed forces.
Minister Al-Aqeeli listened to briefings from department heads and regional leaders regarding operational performance and task execution. The discussions highlighted key challenges and field needs. Al-Aqeeli directed attendees to address these issues based on available resources, aiming to improve the efficiency and readiness of the armed forces.
Lieutenant General Al-Aqeeli stressed that the current phase demands increased efforts and collaboration among all roles. He underscored the importance of instilling principles of discipline and adherence to military laws and regulations. Additionally, he called for heightened combat readiness across all fronts to prepare for any emergencies.
Minister Al-Aqeeli praised the efforts of military leaders in implementing reforms and developing the military institution. He particularly commended the Human Resources Authority for its work on unifying the database of armed forces personnel. He noted the significance of completing this project as a fundamental pillar for enhancing institutional operations.
The meeting also addressed various issues related to public policies and military strategies. Attendees made several recommendations aimed at improving performance and increasing coordination among different military bodies, ultimately benefiting the armed forces and enhancing their readiness.
