Minister of Defense Oversees Leadership Transition at Yemeni Economic Institution

ADEN, Yemen — Today, Major General Mohsen Al-Daari, the Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Yemeni Economic Institution, presided over the handover ceremony at the institution’s Aden branch. The event marked the transition of leadership from former director Brigadier General Anwar Al-Amri to the newly appointed Colonel Faris Sabira.

Acknowledging Past Achievements

During the ceremony, Minister Al-Daari praised the efforts of the previous administration. He highlighted their commitment over the years to safeguarding the institution’s assets, activating its various sectors, and enhancing institutional discipline. Al-Daari emphasized the importance of continuing these efforts to build and improve performance across all areas and services provided by the institution.

Call for Continued Progress

The Minister directed the new administration to build on the achievements of their predecessors. He urged them to intensify their efforts to elevate the institution’s various sectors and strengthen its organizational framework. Al-Daari reiterated the need for the institution to reclaim its leading role in serving both the armed forces and the community.

Recognition of Service

As a token of appreciation, Minister Al-Daari presented Brigadier General Al-Amri with a commemorative plaque. This gesture recognized his significant contributions during his tenure as the head of the Aden branch.

In response, Brigadier General Al-Amri expressed his gratitude for the honor. He acknowledged that the accomplishments during his leadership resulted from collective teamwork and collaboration among the institution’s staff. Al-Amri expressed confidence in the new administration, encouraging them to continue on the same path and strive for further achievements.

The handover ceremony also saw the attendance of several key figures, including Major General Shalal Shaea, Commander of the Counter-Terrorism Unit, Major General Saleh Hassan, Assistant Minister of Defense for Logistics, and Brigadier General Abdulhakim Al-Shaibi, Director of the Minister of Defense’s Office.

This transition marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to enhance the operational capabilities of the Yemeni Economic Institution, ensuring it continues to serve the needs of the armed forces and the broader community effectively.
