On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, Brigadier General Abdullah Al-Jadhhi, the Commander of the National Shield Forces, conducted a thorough inspection of the security situation in the Shahn district and its border crossing with the Sultanate of Oman.
During his visit, General Al-Jadhhi met with several key local officials, including Mohammed bin Mohammed Zabnot, the Director General of Shahn District; Muslim Zabnot, the Director of Shahn Port; and Thabit Awad Mubarak, the Director of Shahn Customs. These discussions focused on the current security measures, operational readiness, and coordination among security units and relevant authorities. The aim is to ensure the safety and stability of the border crossing, benefiting both citizens and travelers.
General Al-Jadhhi emphasized the critical role of the Shahn crossing as a vital gateway in the province and a strategic commercial route within the Republic of Yemen. He reaffirmed the commitment of the National Shield Forces to secure and protect this essential passage, ensuring smooth traffic flow and facilitating crossing procedures.
