Celebrating the 63rd Anniversary of the September 26 Revolution

The General Staff and the Marib Governorate held a ceremony this evening to ignite the flame marking the 63rd anniversary of the National Day of the September 26 Revolution. This event in Marib City signaled the start of official, popular, and national celebrations for this significant occasion.

Key Figures Ignite the Flame

The Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Saghir bin Aziz, along with the First Deputy Governor of Marib, Ali Al-Fatimi, and Dr. Munir Lam’a, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, participated in lighting the revolutionary flame. This moment reflected the enduring spirit of September and its significance in the hearts of Yemenis.

A Gathering of Dignitaries

The event attracted numerous dignitaries, including the Governor of Sana’a, Major General Abdul Qawi Sharif, members of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council, and various officials from Marib and other provinces. Military, security, and political leaders, along with social figures, also attended. During the ceremony, 1,600 young people showcased a vibrant display, proudly raising the national flag and images of President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council. Their performance highlighted the noble goals of the September Revolution and symbolized the battle against ignorance and darkness imposed by the Imamate rule.

A Pledge of Loyalty

In a heartfelt gesture, the youth scouts and guides presented a “Document of Loyalty and Commitment, Sealed with Blood” to President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi and the council members. They reaffirmed their dedication to the principles of the September 26 and October 14 revolutions, vowing to defend their achievements and lofty goals. The scouts emphasized that their movement would continue to foster national values of loyalty and belonging, reinforcing national identity among future generations.

This celebration not only commemorates a pivotal moment in Yemen’s history but also serves as a reminder of the ongoing commitment to the values that the revolutions represent.
