Military Operations Chief Visits Armed Forces Heroes in Marib

Marib, Yemen – Major General Khaled Al-Ashwal, the Chief of Military Operations, conducted a field visit to several frontline positions in western Marib province. This visit aimed to assess the conditions of the fighters and boost their morale during the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

Eid Prayer and Greetings

During his visit, Major General Al-Ashwal joined military leaders, officers, and soldiers of the Seventh Military Region in performing the Eid al-Fitr prayer. He exchanged congratulations and well-wishes for this significant religious occasion. He conveyed greetings from the political and military leadership, including President Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and members of the council, along with the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff.

Assessing Combat Readiness

Major General Al-Ashwal engaged with military unit leaders to discuss the operational situation on the ground. He inquired about mission execution and the readiness of forces to respond to various developments. He praised the high vigilance and discipline exhibited by the fighters, noting their strong morale in fulfilling their national duties.

Celebrating Heroism and Sacrifice

The Major General commended the heroic stances taken by the Seventh Military Region’s forces and their significant sacrifices in defending the nation and restoring state authority. He emphasized that these sacrifices reflect the highest meanings of national belonging and determination to end the Iranian-backed Houthi coup.

Frontline Visits and Combat Readiness

Al-Ashwal also visited the troops stationed at the frontlines of the 72nd Infantry Brigade. He assessed their combat readiness and morale, praising their discipline and combat efficiency across various locations.

Commitment to National Duties

Accompanied by Defense Minister Advisor Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Suwadi, Seventh Military Region Operations Chief Brigadier General Mansour Al-Zafani, and 72nd Infantry Brigade Commander Brigadier General Khaled Al-Jama’i, Al-Ashwal affirmed that the armed forces will continue to perform their national duties with competence and capability. He assured that they possess the necessary resources to decisively conclude the battle and meet the aspirations of the Yemeni people.

A Call for Victory

He pointed out that the moment of liberation from the Houthi terrorist militias is approaching, and Yemen is moving toward victory, driven by the will and determination of its heroes on various fronts.

High Combat Readiness

In response, leaders of the Seventh Military Region confirmed that their units maintain high combat readiness and continuous vigilance to execute assigned missions under all circumstances. They appreciated the Ministry of Defense’s commitment to sharing in the fighters’ joys during national and religious occasions, recognizing the significant impact this has on boosting their morale.

This visit underscores the ongoing commitment of Yemen’s military leadership to support and uplift the spirits of its forces during challenging times.
