Dr. Ahmed Obeid Bin Daghr, the Chairman of the Shura Council, extended heartfelt condolences to Engineer Mohsen Bin Waheit Al-Abidi, the Executive Director of the Yemeni Gas Company, and to the Al-Abidi tribes following the passing of Sheikh Hamad Bin Waheit Al-Abidi. The esteemed leader passed away after a life dedicated to national and social contributions.
In his message, Dr. Bin Daghr praised the late Sheikh’s significant contributions and national roles. He emphasized that Sheikh Hamad stood out as a prominent tribal and national figure in Marib Governorate. Dr. Bin Daghr highlighted the Sheikh’s wisdom, courage, and unwavering stance during the most challenging times faced by the nation.
Dr. Bin Daghr noted that Sheikh Hamad was a key figure in the early establishment of popular resistance in Marib. He actively defended the republic and the principles of the revolution, playing a crucial role in resisting the Houthi militia since the onset of their insurgency.
The Chairman of the Shura Council also pointed out Sheikh Hamad’s notable efforts in mending social rifts and strengthening tribal unity. His leadership in founding and supporting the popular resistance exemplified his commitment to his country. Dr. Bin Daghr affirmed that the late Sheikh’s heroic actions significantly fortified Marib and preserved its republican identity, effectively curbing the militia’s expansion and thwarting their attempts to undermine the region and its people.
Dr. Bin Daghr expressed his deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and the entire Al-Abidi tribes. He prayed for Allah’s mercy upon Sheikh Hamad and requested that He grant patience and solace to his family during this difficult time. “Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him, we shall return,” he concluded.
