On Wednesday evening, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, made a phone call to Brigadier General Hamdi Shukri, commander of the Second Giants Brigade. The call aimed to check on Shukri’s health following a terrorist attack that targeted his convoy, resulting in several casualties.
During the conversation, President Alimi congratulated Brigadier General Shukri on his survival from the treacherous explosion. He expressed his condolences for the victims, praying for God’s mercy and forgiveness for the deceased and wishing a swift recovery for the injured.
President Alimi praised Brigadier General Shukri for his steadfast commitment to combating smuggling, terrorism, and organized crime. He reaffirmed the state’s strong support for the armed forces and security agencies, emphasizing their crucial role in maintaining public order and ensuring stability in the temporary capital of Aden and the liberated provinces.
The President stressed the need to pursue those responsible for the terrorist attack and bring them to justice. He called for enhanced security measures, including monitoring the movements of dormant cells associated with the Houthi militia and other allied organizations.
President Alimi reiterated the commitment to normalizing conditions and unifying security and military decisions. He emphasized the goal of restoring state institutions and deterring any overt attempts to disrupt public peace.
