On Sunday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, met with Judge Abubakr Hussein Al-Saqaf, the head of the Central Audit Authority. During this meeting, Al-Saqaf presented several reports outlining the results of audits conducted on various government institutions and agencies. He also shared the Authority’s vision for addressing institutional imbalances, including monetary policy, financial collapse prevention, and enhancing the state’s revenue streams.

President Alimi received a comprehensive briefing from Judge Al-Saqaf on the Central Audit Authority’s oversight and accounting activities. The discussion covered the financial, administrative, and organizational performance of state institutions. Additionally, they addressed the challenges and obstacles the Authority faces in fulfilling its responsibilities. Al-Saqaf emphasized the need for measures to enhance the Authority’s performance and its legal and constitutional mandates to ensure effective oversight of public funds, focusing on efficiency, economy, and effectiveness.
