The Chairman of the Leadership Council emphasizes in Aden the importance of prioritizing the restoration of institutions and alleviating suffering.

President Rashad Alimi Returns to Aden Amid Ongoing Consultations

On Tuesday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, returned to the temporary capital of Aden. His visit follows continuous discussions with regional and international partners regarding the latest developments in national and regional affairs. The focus remains on supporting comprehensive reforms in Yemen.

Celebrating the 62nd Anniversary of the October 14 Revolution

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), President Alimi extended his congratulations to the Yemeni people, both at home and abroad, on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the October 14 Revolution. He emphasized that this historic day symbolizes the unity of national will and shared destiny. Furthermore, he described it as a source of inspiration for future generations in building a state founded on justice and equal citizenship.

A Call for Unity in National Struggles

President Alimi asserted that the current national struggle is a continuation of the great October epic against the Houthi insurgency and its Iranian-backed agenda. He urged all political forces and components to unify their voices and embark on a new phase of constructive work. The priority, he noted, should be the restoration of state institutions and alleviating the suffering of citizens, which has worsened due to the reckless actions of the Houthi militia.

Acknowledging Government Efforts in Economic Reforms

In this context, the President praised the government’s and the Central Bank’s efforts in implementing a comprehensive reform matrix. He highlighted the tangible indicators of monetary stability achieved thus far. Alimi stressed the importance of continuing this path with a spirit of teamwork and institutional coordination, aiming to serve citizens and enhance trust with the donor community.

Gratitude for Regional Support

President Alimi expressed profound gratitude to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for their ongoing support of the reform process. He acknowledged their humanitarian and developmental interventions across various sectors. Alimi affirmed that their positions remain a cornerstone in Yemen’s journey toward peace, stability, reconstruction, and development.

Strengthening the Legal Status of the State

The President also commended the gains made in enhancing the legal status of the state in Aden. These achievements include relocating financial centers, establishing international organization headquarters, increasing diplomatic allocations, and intensifying pressure on terrorist militias to cut off their funding and armament sources.

This article highlights the ongoing efforts and challenges faced by Yemen as it strives for stability and reform. The President’s return to Aden marks a significant step in this journey, emphasizing unity and collaboration among all stakeholders.
