On Monday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received updates on the situation in Shabwa Governorate. He focused on the recent criminal attack launched by Houthi terrorist militias against a group of new recruits from various provinces across the country. This attack resulted in several casualties, including both martyrs and injured individuals.
In a phone call with the Governor of Shabwa, Awad bin Al-Wazir, President Alimi directed the relevant authorities to provide necessary medical care for the injured. He emphasized the importance of supporting the families of the martyrs, completing the necessary procedures for their compensation, and ensuring the payment of their salaries. Additionally, he called for decisive action to respond to the sources of this terrorist attack.
President Alimi condemned the targeting of recruits, stating that it reflects the Houthi militias’ reliance on cowardly terrorist attacks whenever they face pressure or encounter setbacks in their destructive plans, which are supported by the Iranian regime.
The President expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs and wished a swift recovery for the injured. He stressed that these assaults will not deter the state from fulfilling its responsibilities to protect citizens and restore their national institutions. He affirmed that the blood of the martyrs will not be in vain; it remains a trust that requires care for their families and a commitment to honor their sacrifices and noble blood.
