President Alimi Meets with Consultation and Reconciliation Committee Leaders

On Sunday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, convened a meeting with the Chairman of the Consultation and Reconciliation Committee, Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, and his deputies: Abdul Malik Al-Makhlafi, Sakhr Al-Wajih, Jamila Ali Raji, and Akram Al-Amari.

Updates on Committee Activities

During the meeting, President Alimi received updates from the committee leaders regarding their activities over the past period. They discussed future programs aimed at continuing the committee’s mission, which aligns with the responsibilities outlined in the power transfer declaration.

Acknowledgment of Efforts

President Alimi praised the efforts of the Consultation and Reconciliation Committee, highlighting its supportive role for the Presidential Council. He reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening the committee’s active presence in building trust among all national components.

Addressing Local Challenges

The President also briefed the committee on the current local situation and the priorities for the present phase. He emphasized the urgent need to mobilize all resources to tackle economic challenges and ensure the provision of essential services to citizens, especially with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan. Restoring state institutions remains a top priority.

Commitment to Citizens’ Welfare

President Alimi affirmed the state’s responsibility to fulfill its commitments to alleviate citizens’ suffering. He specifically addressed the impact of Houthi terrorist attacks on oil facilities, which have significantly exacerbated humanitarian crises across the country.

Reinforcing Institutional Operations

The President reiterated the importance of implementing the Presidential Leadership Council’s decisions to ensure that all state institutions resume operations from within the country. He stressed the need for these institutions to carry out their constitutional responsibilities effectively.

Dr. Yahya Al-Shaibi, Director of the Presidential Office, also attended the meeting.
